Meets the legal requirements
With CookieTractor, your website meets the requirements regarding cookie management from the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. Unlike many simpler solutions, no cookies that require consent are set until the visitor has made their choice.

Great accessibility
Deciding on cookies can be confusing for the visitor, with lots of information and unclear options. Our goal is to make it clear and accessible to all. CookieTractor is fully functional with keyboard/screen readers, complies with WCAG 2.2 AAA and the European Accessibility Act. Of course it works just as well on mobile phones as on computers.

Accept all or Only necessary. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that. If visitors want to make their own choices, it's just as easy – no hidden settings or ambiguities.

All cookies explained
CookieTractor analyses the entire site once a month and automatically adds all cookies found. To the curious visitor, there is information about all individual cookies. All common cookies have descriptive information pre-filled. If your website has unique cookies, you can easily define them in the settings tool.

Change consent
According to the regulations, it must be possible for the visitor to change their consent. CookieTractor offers the ability to reopen the cookie banner to do just that. You decide where to place this link; usually it fits in the website footer.

Multilingual support
Visitors can easily switch languages directly in the cookie banner on multilingual websites. We currently support 30 languages, covering all major regions and scripts. If you need additional language support, we'll add it at no extra cost.

Customizable appearance
The appearance of the cookie banner can be customized to your graphic profile. Color, font, and roundings are easily adjusted in our setting tool. We support dark mode if your website implements it. You can also write CSS in our tool if you want full creative freedom.

YouTube and Vimeo
Embedded videos from YouTube and Vimeo set cookies without asking. CookieTractor automatically blocks these cookies for visitors who have not accepted marketing cookies. The visitor is then given a choice to accept these cookies to play the video.

High performance
The cookie banner is the first thing displayed on the website, so high performance is critical. We have optimized the code to make the client files less than 20 kB in most cases. No matter where the visitor is located, the data is always sent from a nearby node via a fast CDN. Data deliveries can also be restricted to servers within the EU if that requirement exists.

Low climate impact
CookieTractor's optimized code has a positive impact on power usage for both servers and clients. Our client file is 60-80% smaller than our competitors, which results in much less data transfer and processing. CookieTractor is therefore a good environmental choice.

An European solution
CookieTractor is designed and developed by the Swedish digital agency Obviuse. The idea was born when, despite persistent searching, we could not find any third-party services that were good enough for our customers. Four years later we have thousands of successful implementations. CookieTractor is a 100% European solution, and all data are stored on servers in the EU.
